“From the first breath you take in a new country, to your last bite of local food, my family and I are there to provide you with a travel experience that brings you out of your routine and back to life.“
I was born to travel. At 2 years old, I started traveling back and forth from Italy to America. I loved everything about traveling; organizing my suitcase, listening to different languages at the airport, and having 10 nonstop hours to do whatever I wanted on the flight. Being brought up bilingual and bicultural meant being a bystander in any culture was impossible. I had to immerse myself in its sounds, tastes, smells and sights.
Travel has, in many ways, enriched and inspired me. It is the times when I was interviewing a Matador after his “victory” in the arena while I was on a 6-week study abroad course in Mexico, or eating buñuelos on the side of the street after having watched Catholic devotees carry scenes of the life of Jesus around the streets of Sevilla for Semana Santa, that I have felt the most human, the most alive, and the most aware of the beauty of life.
So often, I hear stories of people who have worked so hard, providing for their families, stuck in an endless cycle of doing work and paying bills, waiting for the day they can put their routine on hold, breathe life into their inner being, and regain their natural sense of curiosity.
Taking a Leap of Faith
Almost 4 years ago, I embarked on a trip that changed my life forever. I packed up my entire life in the U.S.A, the land of opportunity, to go live in Thailand. I knew not a single soul there, didn’t speak Thai, had never travelled to Asia, had no job lined up and had enough money to get by for two months. I took a TEFL course before leaving, put my entire apartment into storage and followed something that I hadn’t felt for years, my intuition. It is because of this decision, this leap of faith, that I know what is on the other side of fear, its LIFE! I taught at an international school in Thailand for 3 years and the personal transition I went through as a result of putting myself in a totally foreign environment with only my intelligence and determination to help me made me realize how much I wanted to help others reach outside of their comfort zone to experience an adventurous LIFE as well.
It so happens, that my uncle has been running a small travel agency in Matera, Italy for the past 25 years. So, we decided to partner-up, bring our talents and passions together to create a tours through Europe that allowed for an inner as much as an outer journey. We believe in providing experiences that let you take home new perspectives, knowledge and connection to a culture without forgetting about the terrific photos in front of iconic buildings. We provide itineraries that give you time to just be present, without a strict agenda. And most of all, we believe in connection; within the groups we lead, and within the people who make up our team.
I transitioned from my teaching career to fully dedicate my life to giving you an opportunity to reclaim that sense of “awe” you experienced as a child. From the first breath you take in a new country, to your last bite of local food, my family and I are there to provide you with a travel experience that brings you out of your routine and back to life.
